For senior campers ages 10 to 12, the climbing and ropes activities at Oak Crest Day Camp give children a safe way to take on physical challenges, set personal goals, and build confidence.
The Climbing Tower includes several elements that let campers progress at their own pace. Campers can try two rock walls with different difficulty levels, the Giant Swing, a 200-yard Zipline, the Giant Cargo Net, and Jacob’s Ladder. Each activity gives campers a chance to practice balance, coordination, focus, and problem-solving.
The High Ropes course adds more elevated challenges for campers who are ready for a higher level of adventure. These activities require campers to stay focused, follow instructions, and work through obstacles step by step. The High Ropes Confidence Course gives campers more mid-air elements to try while secured in harnesses and guided by staff.
Safety is part of every climbing and ropes session. Activities are led by trained, certified staff members who explain the rules, check equipment, and support campers throughout each challenge. Equipment is inspected daily, and the climbing and ropes courses are certified each year by their original builders to meet current safety standards.
Oak Crest Day Camp offers older campers a structured way to challenge themselves, build trust, and learn how to work through obstacles in a supervised setting.
