Senior campers ages 10–12 take on structured physical challenges through the Climbing Tower and High Ropes courses at Oak Crest Day Camp. These activities are designed to help campers build confidence, coordination, and personal goal-setting while working at their own pace in a supervised setting. The Climbing Tower features two rock walls with different difficulty levels, a Giant Swing, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, and Jacob’s Ladder. Campers move through these elements based on comfort and readiness, allowing each child to progress safely.
The High Ropes course adds additional climbing areas and elevated obstacles that strengthen balance, focus, and persistence. The newer High Ropes Confidence Course expands these challenges even further with mid-air elements that encourage problem-solving and trust. All participants are secured in harnesses and guided through each step by trained staff.
All climbing and ropes activities are led by certified instructors. Equipment is inspected daily, and both courses undergo annual certification from their original builders to ensure they meet current safety standards.
For families near West Windsor, NJ, Oak Crest Day Camp provides a safe and structured environment where older campers can push themselves physically and learn how to navigate challenges with support and guidance.
