Senior campers ages 10 to 12 build strength, coordination, and confidence through the Climbing Tower and High Ropes courses at Oak Crest Day Camp. These programs are designed to help campers set personal goals, face challenges, and develop perseverance in a safe, supportive setting.
The Climbing Tower features two rock walls with varying levels of difficulty, a Giant Swing, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, and Jacob’s Ladder. Campers move through each element at their own pace, gaining confidence with every climb and swing. The structure allows children to experience both individual achievement and team encouragement as they support one another through each challenge.
The High Ropes Course adds more advanced climbing opportunities and elevated balance challenges. The recently added High Ropes Confidence Course includes a series of mid-air obstacles designed to strengthen focus, trust, and problem-solving skills. All participants wear harnesses and are guided through each section by trained staff members who emphasize safety and proper technique.
Every ropes and climbing activity is supervised by certified instructors. All equipment is checked daily, and both courses are inspected and certified annually by the original builders to ensure compliance with current safety standards.
For families near Westfield, NJ, this program gives older campers a reliable and well-structured way to test their limits, develop resilience, and gain a sense of accomplishment through guided physical challenges.
