As a Leader-in-Training (LIT) at Oak Crest Day Camp, your summer will be filled with hands-on experiences that build valuable skills. You’ll participate in an overnight trip designed to foster independence and teamwork, and spend your time working with different camper groups, learning how to support and engage younger campers. Our comprehensive Staff Training program ensures that you gain practical knowledge and experience in leadership roles. Throughout the summer, you’ll receive ongoing guidance from our LIT Director, with daily feedback and weekly meetings focused on addressing challenges and developing effective strategies.
This program is specifically designed for 16-17-year-olds, providing an opportunity to grow into leadership roles while creating meaningful memories. Located near Somerset County, Oak Crest Day Camp offers a transformative experience that equips teens with the skills they need for future success.
Program Includes
- Commitment to 6, 7 or 8 weeks employment as LIT
- Complete LIT training including formal weekly meeting and ongoing job supervision
- LIT salary and potential for added gratuities from parents
- Transportation to and from camp
