The LIT Experience
The LIT Experience at Oak Crest Day Camp is designed for 16- and 17-year-olds who are ready to take on more responsibility, build leadership skills, and become positive role models. This program gives teens the chance to grow in confidence while learning how to communicate, support others, solve problems, and contribute in meaningful ways.

Throughout the summer, LITs receive support from the LIT Director, including daily feedback and weekly meetings. These check-ins help teens talk through challenges, learn better strategies, and understand how to handle real responsibilities in a camp setting.
The LIT program gives 16- and 17-year-olds a structured way to prepare for future leadership roles while building confidence, friendships, and useful experience for college and work.
Program Includes
- Commitment to 6, 7 or 8 weeks employment as LIT
- Complete LIT training including formal weekly meeting and ongoing job supervision
- LIT salary and potential for added gratuities from parents
- Transportation to and from camp
